neither的用法详解
1. 做副词，意为“也不”，此时相当于nor
常用结构为：
(1)“neither+连系动词be(am,is,are)/助动词(do/does/did)/情态动词(should, will, must, can, could and so on)+主语”表示“……也不”此时，可用nor替换，这是一个倒装结构，表示前面否定的情况也同样属于后者
eg: Tom isn't a teacher, neither is Mary.
汤姆不是老师，玛丽也不是。
I don't like eating fruit and vegetables, neither does my sister.
我不喜欢吃水果和蔬菜，我妹妹也不喜欢。
My father can't go on vacation, neither can my mother, because my.grandma is ill.
我爸爸不能去度假，我妈妈也不可以，因为我奶奶生病了。
(2) "neither…nor…"意为“既不……也不……”用于否定两个并列的成分，谓语遵循“就近原则”
eg: He likes either apples nor bananas.
他既不喜欢苹果也不喜欢香蕉。
Neither Lily nor Lucy is here.
丽丽和露西都不在这儿。
2.作代词，意为“两者都不”，反义词为both，常用结构为“neither of+主语+谓语(可单可复)”
eg: Neither of us have/has a basketball.
我们都没有篮球。
Neither of shirts is/are green.
两件衬衫都不是绿色的。
3.作形容词，意为“两者都不(的)”，后跟可数名词的单数形式，作主语时，谓语动词用单数形式
eg: Neither girl is right.
两个女孩都不对。
Neither dog likes each other.
两条狗都不喜欢彼此。
